Bookkeeping that keeps you organised all year round.

Ongoing support to keep your finances accurate, up to date and easy to understand, so you always know exactly where your business stands.

Day-to-day books, quietly taken care of.

Our bookkeeping service provides ongoing support to keep your business finances accurate, organised and up to date. We manage your day-to-day bookkeeping, bank reconciliations and financial reporting, giving you clear visibility over your business performance.

At Lady Abacus, we focus on creating simple, reliable processes so you can spend less time on administration and more time growing your business.

In practice that means no chasing, no guesswork and no end-of-quarter panic. Your accounts are reconciled on a steady rhythm, your questions get answered by a real person, and your numbers are ready whenever you need them.

You might need this if

If any of these feel a little close to home, this is exactly the sort of thing we take off your plate.

Paperwork is piling up

Bank statements, receipts and invoices are stacking up faster than you can file them, and you have stopped looking at the pile.

You are not sure how you are tracking

Money is coming in, but you could not confidently say what your profit actually looked like last month.

Admin is eating your evenings

Bookkeeping has become the job you do after hours, when you would much rather be finished for the day.

What ongoing bookkeeping covers.

A clear scope agreed up front, so you always know exactly what is being looked after.

  • Bank and credit card reconciliations

Every account reconciled on a regular cycle so your balances always match reality.

  • Transaction coding and review

Income and expenses coded correctly and consistently, with anything unusual queried rather than guessed.

  • Accounts kept current

Your file stays up to date week to week, instead of being scrambled together at the last minute.

  • Clear financial reporting

Profit and loss, balance sheet and cash position, explained in plain English.

  • Tidy supplier and customer records

Contacts, bills and invoices kept in order so your reports are genuinely meaningful.

  • A real person to ask

Someone who knows your business and is happy to answer questions, no matter how small.

Frequently asked questions.

The questions we hear most about bookkeeping services. If yours isn't here, just ask.

Do I have to use Xero?

It helps, and it is what we know best as a Xero Platinum Partner, but we always start by looking at what you already have. If your current setup works, we will work with it. If it is holding you back, we will talk you through the options. See Xero setup and training.

How often will my books be updated?

That depends on how busy your accounts are. Some businesses suit a weekly rhythm, others monthly. We will agree a schedule that matches your transaction volume and how often you need reporting.

What if I am behind before we start?

Very common, and not a problem. We will usually bring your accounts up to date first through our catch-up and clean-up service, then move you onto ongoing support.

Does this include my BAS?

BAS and IAS preparation and lodgement sit under our compliance services, and most clients bundle the two together. We will confirm exactly what is included when we scope your support.
